Best place ever, 99% of my wardrobe

The clothes were decently priced and nice stuff and I didnt feel like I had to sort through loads of tat to find a good item. The decor was nice and I liked the red twinkly lights in the changing room. The cashier working was sweet and friendly but I liked that she let me browse without questioning me on what I was looking for. I would go again if I was in the area.

After recently buying a bag which unbeknown to me was faulty to the extent it was unusable and politely asking for assistance to no avail I am now in negotiations with trading standards to try and get my money back. Faults like this should be pointed out prior to sale and retailers of second hand goods are not legally allowed to place signs everywhere saying no returns.

I have lived in Falmouth most of my life and on those frequent and numerous occasions I have passed this shop I always look in to see what is new. Their clothing very is different to what you would find in most clothes shops and I tend to associate 'different' with 'expensive'. Yesterday I walked into 'Vintage/Wild Pony' to enquire about the source of the clothing and to ascertain its price range. I fancied a couple warm-looking coats which I wanted to on try for size. If either coat fitted I would consider buying one as a birthday present for myself, if the price was right. The answers to my two questions shocked me. Firstly, the clothing was true 'classic' in every sense of the word. They are not modern reproductions but the genuine article manufactured possibly as much as 40 - 50 years ago but placed into storage and refurbished to 'like new' condition. Secondly, concerning price. Rather than being expensive, their clothing was ridiculously cheap, at least by present day standards. I did treat myself and buy a warm coat from the mid-70s era - remember 'Starchy & Hutch'? - which cost me a mere 32. I also learnt that Wild Pony caters for all sizes, men & women, old & young. I have a 48" chest and it was my 65th birthday but my chosen coat fitted me remarkably well. Wild Pony certainly sell eye-catching clothing because it is oh-so different from modern styles. This is definitely a shop worthy of a visit if you enjoy genuine 'retro/classic' style clothing, which is well made too.

I had heard about Wild Pony from a friend, so whilst holidaying in Cornwall I decided to pay them a visit. I am so glad that I did, as I found a virtual goldmine of clothing that has stood the test of time. I am sort of old fashioned and have never followed trends, but I have always loved Levi jeans, flannel shirts, converse boots etc. So finding this Aladdin's cave of all the clothing that I love has prompted me to use their services for many years to come.
